Definitely buy water shoes ahead of time and bring a waterproof camera or phone case to take your own photos! No need for sunscreen under the tree cover, in fact, you have to wash it off at the start of the day so as to not pollute the cenote water that the locals drink from. No bugs bothered us. We stayed in our swimsuits all day and left our clothes on the bus, which we had access to frequently. The lunch was filling…”
